Summer 2019
Continuing the G.I.V.E. Organization's community outreach efforts, our volunteer members launched a new project in composing a grant request to the Yamaha Corporation. The request aimed towards emphasizing our organization's pressing needs for instruments to use for teaching our young students and requesting for instrument donations.
Over the course of weekly meetings throughout the 2019 summer, the grant proposal was drafted in sections, each written by a smaller team of volunteers. The different segments were then compiled and finalized into a complete application. By expanding our instrument inventory, G.I.V.E. hopes to provide an individualized learning experience for all students as well as opportunities to practice playing in their own homes.
